SomebodyMakeIt is infrastructure for distributed production and licensing. An IP owner or a brand publishes a project: what may be made, where, and at what royalty. We match the right producers, the work is awarded and made, and everyone on the product line is paid from the same transaction.We started because the traditional way of launching a new product is outdated. Ten thousand units and a year of lead time is a huge risk for the customer. Shipping from far away damages the planet, and exports get harder as tariffs rise. At the same time about one machine in five stands idle across Europe and the United States, before you count the brilliant makers and small production brands, some of you already selling on the marketplaces. We wanted to make a place where you can all meet, build success stories together, and open licensing where one brand sparks another. Local is not a compromise
Weeks instead of quarters, no container, no import duty on the finished goods, and far less thrown away when the forecast is wrong. Often cheaper, though not always on unit price.
Small runs are the point
Seven products at 220 units taught one customer more than one product at 10,000 would have.
